Published on Tuesday 5 April 2011

Burmor Construction are pleased to commence works to provide Spalding Garth School with a new Food Technology Suite and other associated rooms. The picture below shows the site before works had commenced. The extension provides new access within and around the school, taking a previous outside walkway and now forming an internal corridor to link the existing and new areas together. Other features of the extension are specialist external composite windows and doors and external cladding boards.

The photo below shows the ground works underway. The formwork has been fixed into position along with the steel ready to pour the concrete floor slab.

The roof structure and covering is now substantially complete at Graham Young Medical Village, and a large number of windows have now been fitted. The building is therefore now watertight, meaning that internal works can now commence. The photo below shows the current state of the building.

Meanwhile works have commenced on Phase 3 of the project, with the extension to the existing surgery building to form new consulting rooms. The photo below shows the existing front of the surgery, with the new foundation trenches excavated in front. Both phases are expected to be handed over to the client in Summer 2011.
