Chris Dowd Football Tournament 2019

Published on Friday 6 September 2019

On Saturday 6th June we held our annual football tournament in memory of our Contracts Manager, Chris Dowd, to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

The tournament was held at Hampton Gardens Academy in Peterborough, with 10 teams/companies participating. The schedule was a mirror of the previous tournament where teams were split into two groups of 5 with the top 4 teams progressing into the knock out stages consisting of quarter finals, semi finals and final. The spoils were taken by Prince Energy, on their first appearance at the tournament, after beating MPS in the final. The companies taking part included Aecom, Bsafe Electrical, Dalbergia Group, Johnathan Voss Plastering, Burmor Projects, Prince Energy, MPS, Brook and Mayo, P J Thorys and MKM.

The tournament raised a total of £1232.32 for the British Heart Foundation and we would like to thank all who were involved in making the day a success.

Car park completed in time for new term

We have recently completed the works at an existing car park at Spalding High School. The Matmore Gate car park required drainage upgrade works which included a new attenuation tank, by-pass separator to prevent engine oil and other contaminants from harming the environment, and new surface drainage channels. The entire car park area was excavated to a depth of 450mm and a new hardcore sub base was installed. The car park was then topped with tarmac and finished with white line marking and the inclusion of a disabled parking bay.

The works began on 12th August 2019 and were completed on 2nd September ready for hand over on Tuesday 3rd September 2019.
