Superstructure steelwork has been erected on our site at Harrison Way, St Ives. We are pleased to see that progress on this site has been maintained during the recent challenges presented to the country and the construction industry. We are now preparing to begin the walls to floor level where a prefabricated beam and block system will be installed. Superstructure walls will be traditional masonry to match the adjacent units on the site. The roof structure forms part of the steel frame construction and therefore is already in place ready for the composite cladding panels to be installed in due course.
External foul and storm drainage has already been installed. Our groundworkers have been working flat out, in line with safe social distancing measures, to ensure that the drainage connections are completed during the lockdown so that neighbouring businesses are not affected by the works once they are able to reopen.
Estimated completion for the works is September 2020.
