Metal purlin roof coverings now complete

Works are continuing internally at Unit 6, St Ives with the finishing of the substructure to the lift pit ready for the internal walls to be constructed and the floor insulation and screed to be laid. We will be starting the first fix fit out works to the first floor area next week with the erection of the mf stud walls, first fix plumbing and electrical installations plus first fix air conditioning.

The roof coverings are now complete and comprise of a metal purlin structure with a insulated composite cladding panel above. The roof is finished with a rubberoid single ply membrane which is flashed up and on to the parapet walls and will be finished with prefinished aluminium cappings.

The service connections are geared up ready for installation this month with the gas being installed first and the electric installation to follow. The electric supply has a long way to travel as we needed to install 200m of ducting to meet UKPN specifications from one end of the site to the other.
