With winter becoming a distant memory and an improvement on the weather over the past few weeks, the roof structure is progressing at Ropsley Village Hall. The 13.5m wide roof trusses have been installed and permanently braced as the trades now start the cut roof section of roof structure that will form the vaulted ceiling over the main hall. The entire footprint of the building is currently decked out with either scaffolding or crash deck to provide a safe, working platform for all trades. In a couple of weeks the roof coverings will commence to give some protection against the elements so the internal works can begin.
The contract is still on programme, est completion September 2020.
