Visit to Glebelands Primary Academy for a Hands-On Construction Session
Last week, Jack had the pleasure of visiting Glebelands Primary Academy in Chatteris to deliver a fun and educational session with two Year 6 classes – and what a brilliant morning it was! The visit was part of our ongoing commitment to inspiring the next generation and building stronger links with our local communities.
Activities included:
Construction Myth Busters – Pupils learned the truth behind some common misconceptions about the industry, including the wide range of roles available and the growing presence of technology and sustainability in modern construction.
Mini Timber Frame House Building – Working in teams, the children built small timber-framed models, giving them hands-on experience and a chance to think about design, teamwork and structural strength.
Throughout the morning, pupils showed fantastic behaviour, enthusiasm, and creativity – asking brilliant questions and fully getting stuck into the tasks. So, to reward their participation, we handed out a selection of branded prizes, including keyrings, bracelets, and seed packets – a little something to take home and remember the experience by.
A big thank you to the staff at Glebelands for the warm welcome!
