Visit to Glebelands Primary Academy for a Hands-On Construction Session

Last week, Jack had the pleasure of visiting Glebelands Primary Academy in Chatteris to deliver a fun and educational session with two Year 6 classes – and what a brilliant morning it was! The visit was part of our ongoing commitment to inspiring the next generation and building stronger links with our local communities.

Activities included:

  • Construction Myth Busters – Pupils learned the truth behind some common misconceptions about the industry, including the wide range of roles available and the growing presence of technology and sustainability in modern construction.

  • Mini Timber Frame House Building – Working in teams, the children built small timber-framed models, giving them hands-on experience and a chance to think about design, teamwork and structural strength.

Throughout the morning, pupils showed fantastic behaviour, enthusiasm, and creativity – asking brilliant questions and fully getting stuck into the tasks. So, to reward their participation, we handed out a selection of branded prizes, including keyrings, bracelets, and seed packets – a little something to take home and remember the experience by.

A big thank you to the staff at Glebelands for the warm welcome!
