  • Director

    Patrick joined the family business in 1997 as a trainee quantity surveyor, qualifying as a quantity surveyor in 2002. He became a director in 2009 and joined Pat as a Chartered Builder in 2010. After gaining early experience in the education sector, Patrick led the company’s early design and build projects in the education, commercial and residential sectors. He is now highly experienced in all aspects of the development and construction process including land acquisition, planning and construction. Patrick has an MBA in Construction and Real Estate.

  • Director

    Luke started with Burmor Construction in 2007 as a Quantity Surveyor. Luke predominantly looks after the Commercial management and pre-construction side of the business bringing forward new contracts. This involves the strategic development of our current and growing supply chain. Luke has a particular expertise in contaminated land, remediation strategy and general civil engineering having spent a period of his career to date working in London on brownfield regeneration sites

  • Associate Director

    Ollie joined in 2014, starting with the company as a trainee Quantity Surveyor. Since then, his journey has seen him work as a Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor and has now joined the leadership team as Associate Director in September 2023.

    Ollie’s role will be focused on the operations side of the business, overseeing and supporting its ongoing development whilst maintaining Burmor’s core values.

    Having successfully completed his Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management Degree, Ollie is studying an MBA in Construction and Real Estate, further supporting his Associate Director role.

  • Retired Founding Member

    Pat was one of three founders of Burmor Construction when it was established back in 1978, the other two members being Pat’s father, also called Pat and referred to as Pat Senior, and a brother-in-law, John.

    When Patrick joined the company in 1997, Pat Senior was still working and the company boasted three Patrick Burkes, which did lead to some confusion!

    Pat retired from the business in December 2023, and considers himself fortunate to have been surrounded by a good team both on site and in the office; quite a number of those people are still here today and very much appreciated.

    He left seeing a good selection of younger people joining the company both on and off site, training, qualifying and bringing fresh ideas to compliment traditional valuable knowledge and hopes that the company continues trading and maintaining its values for many years to come.

  • Head of Construction

    Ged has been in the industry for over 40 years. Having served his apprenticeship as a Carpenter and Joiner gained a wealth of experience on numerous projects.

    Ged rose through the ranks from Site Supervisor, Site Manager, Contracts Manager to Head of Construction.

    Apart from various construction related courses also gained a CIOB Diploma in Site Management and a Nebosh certificate in Construction Safety.

    He is now in control of Labour movements, assisting programming, quality of workmanship and general mentoring of staff.

  • Associate Director

    Sam joined Burmor as a Quantity Surveyor in January 2020, moving to the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor in January 2021 and became Associate Director in September 2023.

    With over fourteen years of experience in the construction industry, Sam has developed his commercial and project management skills to oversee the surveying side of the business and uses his expertise to support Burmor’s commercial team.

    Sam holds a degree in Construction Management.

Commercial

  • Senior Quantity Surveyor

    Connor started with Burmor in November 2023, bringing experience of working for both large PLCs and SMEs on a broad range of commercial and residential schemes.

    In his role as Senior Quantity Surveyor he is involved in housing projects from pre/ post construction

  • Quantity Surveyor

    Scott joined Burmor in 2016 as a Quantity Surveyor and has been working in the construction industry for 14 years.

    In his role as Quantity Surveyor, Scott is involved in both pre and post contract projects.

  • Pre Construction Surveyor

    Having spent all her professional career working for an Employers Agent team at a Housing Association, Fran brings a wealth of direct understanding to the team of our client's needs. Understanding exactly this process, Fran compliments her experience with a Masters Degree in Quantity Surveying bringing a unique skill set to the team.

  • Quantity Surveyor and Retrofit Lead

    Georgia joins the Burmor team with main contractor experience delivering projects for MOD and the NHS.

    Understanding the wants and needs of high profile clients such as these, working alongside our RP partners will compliment Georgia’s already established skillset.

    Georgia has an MSc in Quantity Surveying.

  • Quantity Surveyor

    Megan joined Burmor in early 2020 as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, graduating in 2021 as a qualified Quantity Surveyor.

    Having worked previously on residential projects, Megan will continue building on this strength delivering one-off high specification and volume affordable housing.

  • Assistant Quantity Surveyor

    Ciara is undertaking her Quantity Surveying degree through the Burmor development program. Ciara is the Tomorrow’s Leaders Representative for the CIOB in the Cambridge region, and is an excellent addition to the commercial team and will support many of our affordable housing projects

  • Quantity Surveyor

    Cameron has a BSc Hons degree in Surveying, and has experience as a Site Manager and an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in the Commercial and Educational Sector.

    He joined Burmor in the summer of 2023 and said of his new journey with us 'I’m very much looking forward to going into something slightly different with affordable housing as it presents a new challenge and will no doubt help me grow as a QS'.

  • Defects and Small Works Manager

    Darren left school and went straight into construction, working for Burmor construction in their small works department. He decided to take some time to grow his own business, but has since returned to Burmor to manage our Defects and Small Works department, supporting clients in overseeing the handover of completed projects.

  • Customer Care Coordinator

    Lara started with Burmor in September 2022 as our Commercial Administrator, providing the commercial team with admin and support services.

    She now coordinates the aftercare team across all sites, liaising with residents and the client to provide an excellent services throughout the defects period.

Business Support

  • Finance Manager

    Emma is responsible for the financial management of the business operation in terms of workforce, suppliers, purchasing, sales and also the bespoke performance management system tailored to the business.

  • Office Manager

    Suzanne has been with the company for over 30 years. Starting as Office Junior to the present position of Office Manager, she is the first point of contact for many clients and suppliers. She makes sure the company is compliant with industry requirements and liaises with other staff members/ departments within the company on projects from start to finish.

  • Assistant Business Manager

    Harriet has been with Burmor since the start of 2023, and began her career in construction in 2019. Her previous role was with the Chartered Institute of Building, where she oversaw the development of membership and events in the Eastern region. She brings with her strong customer facing skills, and a passion for industry change.

  • Senior Accounts and Payroll Manager

    Heather has been with Burmor for nearly 20 years working in the growing accounts department. Heather primarily manages the payments and payroll side of the business, managing transactions in and out of the business

  • Accounts Assistant

    Megan joined Burmor in April 2024 and comes with an admin background from her previous roles.

    She will be working alongside Emma and the accounts team, supporting with the financial processes.

Operations

  • Contracts Manager

    Bob has worked for Burmor Construction for over 20 years having spent over 40 years in the groundworks industry.

    This experience has been valuable to business which has led to various promotions, with Bob most recently taking the role of Contracts Manager, overseeing both below and above ground on all our sites

  • Contracts Manager

    Andy has worked for Burmor construction for over 35 years. He started as an apprentice carpenter before becoming a site supervisor.

    Andy has a CIOB Diploma in Site Supervision and an NVQ Level 6 in Site Management, and was promoted to Contracts Manager in September 2023.

    Having worked at all levels of construction over the years, Andy has a wealth of experience enabling him to be responsible for large, complex projects. He successfully handed over one of Burmor’s largest projects, Trelowen Way, in October 2023.

  • Site Manager

    Mark has worked in the construction industry for 28 years. He completed his apprenticeship as a decorator, and has worked on and off Burmor jobs for the entirety of his career.

    Mark has been a full time Site Manager with Burmor for 2 years and has completed his Nebosh general certificate and NVQ level 6 in Construction Management. He has also recently become a Mental Health First Aider.

  • Site Manager

    Jason left school at the age of 15 and started his bricklaying apprenticeship with Langwith Builders. His career with them lasted for 23 years, and within that time he progressed to Site Manager.

    Jason began working for Burmor as a sub-contracted bricklayer in 2018, and later became an official part of the team as a Site Manager at our development in Waltham on the Wolds.

    He now works with QS, Megan and is managing our project on London Road in Kirton.

  • Site Manager

    Alex has been in the construction industry for 23 years; 20 years were spent as an electrical engineer/supervisor and 10 years of those years were spent in London completing multi million pound Hotels, penthouses and villas for overseas clients.

    Alex completed his SMSTS qualification and joined Burmor in 2021 as a Site Manager. In the last 18 months he has delivered 32 new units for a private client in Cambridgeshire and completed his NVQ Level 6 in construction management.

  • Site Manager

    Daniel has come from a family of builders, and has known construction since childhood. He started is journey as an apprentice carpenter, where he worked in the family business for 6 years before working his way up to Site Manager.

    He is now Level 6 qualified in Construction Management and Site Management. He has worked as a site manager for 15 years, and started with Burmor in 2023.

  • Site Manager

    Matt joined Burmor as a Site Manager in May 2023, and is based at our first scheme with Flagship Housing Group in Narborough, Norfolk.

    Matt’s career history started in the army as an infantry soldier, and once he left the forces, went on to do a bricklaying qualification and fork lift driving for a small company in Brightlingsea. He was sub-contracted with a main contractor, who then took him on full-time and put him through their management training scheme.

  • Site Manager

    Sean joined the Burmor site management team in September 2023.

    He has worked in the construction industry for over 16 years, starting out as an apprentice carpenter and working his way up to site manager.

    Sean has been in site management since 2016 and holds a SMSTS qualification. He has experience working on volume housing, high end residential, barn conversions and commercial projects.

  • Site Manager

    Kevin joined the Burmor team in 1998 as an apprentice bricklayer. During his time as a bricklayer, he worked along those with a wealth of experience giving him the opportunity to build on his skills and knowledge, resulting in working on some interesting and successful projects.

    Due to gaining these experiences, Kevin worked his way to Site Manager and is now responsible for Burmor’s largest project.

  • Site Manager

    Tom joined the site management team at Burmor in 2022.

    He has worked in the construction industry for over 23 years, starting as a site carpenter and working his way up to senior site manager. He has 16 years’ experience in a management role, working in a number of sectors including Education, Conservation, Health, Blue light and Residential.

    He brings with him a wealth of knowledge, and particularly enjoys working on high end residential, complex commercial and conversation projects. Outside of work Tom enjoys Walking and shooting.

  • Site Manager

    Glen has been in construction since leaving school in 1996, starting as an apprentice bricklayer and going on to gain NVQ levels 2 and 3 qualification and his Gold CSCS card in bricklaying.

    Glen went on to gain knowledge and experience of small low value domestic projects, to multi-million-pound commercial projects and joined Burmor in October 2014.

    Since the start of his journey with Burmor, he has gained a qualification in Site Management and has overseen a diverse range of projects.

  • Site Manager

    Carl has been in construction since, leaving school in 2003 and becoming a carpentry and joinery apprentice. He became a site manager in 2017, working for other contractors until March 2020 when he joined the Burmor team.

    He worked his way up to site manager after running a carpentry team and becoming supervisor, and now has a Level 6 site management qualification.

  • Site Manager

    Andy officially joined the Burmor team 3 years ago as a Site Manager. His construction background started when he left school and worked with his family as a bricklayer.

    He has an NVQ in Bricklaying accredited by City & Guilds, and a CSCS gold card.

    Outside of the industry, Andy spent 23 years in the fire service but left to pursue a full time career in construction.

    He recently qualified as a Mental Health First Aider.

  • Assistant Site Manager

    Steve was a bricklayer for 40 years, and has been working for Burmor for 32 of those years. He since worked his way up the ladder and is now an Assistant Site Manager, having completed his SMSTS.
