Behind the Scenes

Inspiring students to pursue a career in construction involves showcasing our dynamic industry. Construction goes beyond the build and is about shaping communities, innovating, and creating spaces that improve lives. Engaging students through hands-on experiences, such as site visits and construction related activities, can ignite their curiosity for the industry and demonstrate the diverse range of career opportunities available.

We invited the the students from IntoUniversity to the sites on South Street and Trelowen Way in Peterborough, which encouraged them to envision themselves as architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, contracts managers, site managers, or brick layers and hopefully, helped to create the next generation of construction professionals!

Hear from Burmor, the client and the staff at IntoUniversity and understand the impact that days like this have on the children who ordinarily, may not be given opportunities like these.

A big thank you to Andy Squance, Scott Drewery, Ciara Ruane-Fountain, Harriet Hosking and clients Accent Housing and Cross Keys Homes for their support in making the day a huge success.
