Affordable Housing: 22 Dwellings, Litlington

Client: Accent Group

This development of 22 homes for Accent Housing Group is in the village of Litlington, based in the quiet Cambridgeshire countryside.

These traditionally built homes with external brick and clad finishes, will will deliver 2 bungalows, and a mixture of 2-bed to 4-bed houses; 9 of which will be Affordable Rent and 13 Shared Ownership.

As Burmor continue to deliver projects that contribute toward a more sustainable, carbon reduced future, these new homes for Accent Group will use Air Source Heat Pumps as their main heating source, installation of Solar PV Panels, and each home has a SAP A rating. Increasing the insultation on these homes makes them more efficient to run, reducing costs for future residents and home owners.

To encourage bio-diversity, and allowing a safe space for nature to thrive, every house will have a bird box and there will be a Hedgehog Highway running throughout the gardens of the homes. At the back of the development will be a Hibernaculum, providing a place for wildlife to shelter and seek refuge throughout the year, protecting and enhancing Cambridgeshires wild spaces.

The Quantity Surveyor leading on this project is Georgia Freeman, and the Site Manager is Chris Birks.
