Affordable Housing: 41 Dwellings, Kirton

Client: Platform Housing Group

We are working with client, Platform Housing Group, to deliver 41 new dwellings off London Road in Kirton. A first for Burmor Construction, we are pleased to be delivering 6 plots on this project that meet the predicted Future Homes Standard 2025. Across the development, 9 of the 1, 2 and 3 bed homes will be shared ownership and the remainder will be affordable rent.

In our bid to work with our Housing Association clients on building sustainably, 35 of the plots are being built using the ECO 100 timber frame; a traditional open panel structure used across multiple Burmor projects and supplied by LoCal Homes. All 35 plots will have a brick finish, with a combination of buff and multi-red coloured.

How do the remaining 6 plots meet the Future Homes Standard? Using the LoCal Homes ECO 200 system, comprising of a closed panel system and factory fitted triple glazed windows, the plots also have PV panels on the roof, air source heat pumps, and are fully electric. To keep in theme with the other 36 homes on site, LoCal have worked meticulously to ensure that the brick slips used for these 6 plots match the external brick work across the development.

The homes are due for handover in the summer of 2024.

The Burmor Quantity Surveyor leading this unique project is Megan Bemrose, and the Site Manager is Jason Ebbage.
