Private: Grade II Listed Luxury Apartments

Client: The Abbey Group Development Company Ltd

Originally built in the 1700’s, this Grade II listed building in the centre of Stamford is steeped in history. Working closely with our client, The Abbey Group Development Company Ltd, and planning and conservation rules, this development will be transformed into 1, 2, and 3 bed luxury apartments.

This extensive design process involves internal and external alterations, including the use of unique floor joists to create a structured wall within one of the apartments. With floor to ceiling windows, high ceilings, and original ornate detailing, these apartments will have revolutionized from hotel, dance studio, and nightclub, to finally become home to beautifully restored dwellings.

Careful works have taken place involving the removal of the statue on the roof of the building, seeing her go for repair to then return to her pride of place once we are near completion.

The Burmor Quantity Surveyor heading this project is Scott Broadbent, and the Site Manager is Mick McMullen.
